Located on seven acres of a historic farmstead, Tannenbaum Historic Park offers self-guided tours of the grounds, including the Hoskins House, built in 1813, a restored 1830s barn and a replica of a period kitchen and blacksmith shop. This18th-century farmstead of Joseph Hoskins, who served the community as a constable, tax collector and sheriff, hosted Cornwallis' troops in 1781 as they prepared for the Battle of Guilford Courthouse during the Revolutionary war. The site is located in near Guilford Courthouse National Park, 15 minutes northwest of downtown.
