Hidden away from the busy city, Bur-Mil Park provides families with an easy-to-reach destination for outdoor fun and games. Large grassy areas serve as the grounds for picnics and impromptu games while aspiring fishers line the ponds in hopes of catching a nice fish or two. Miles of hiking trails draw fitness buffs and others looking for a bit of a stretch and plenty of beautiful scenery. Open during the warmer months, the outdoor pool at the Family Aquatic Center is a great place for kids to play, featuring small slides and fountain areas as well as a large pool.The par 3 golf course and driving range are excellent for beginning players and golfers looking for a cheap, quick and fun game. Sitting just a few miles northwest of downtown off of Highway 220, the park is surrounded by the crescent of Lake Brandt.
