Best Sushi in Greensboro!

Posted by GenahS on 9/23/2009

We've eaten sushi at a number of resturants in Greensboro, and have never been disappointed at Asahi. Steve has the most amazing Tuna and prepares sushi dishes that are both artful and delicious. Asahi has the best Sushi in Greensboro by far!

Real Japanese Quality

The owner, Mr. Saito is a REAL Japanese master chef, and there are surprisingly abundant of REAL Japanese native cuisines in their menu. I have been in many Japanese restaurants in big cities from New York to Los Angeles, but I was totally impressed with this Greensboro, NC stop. Mr. Saito is from Onomichi, Japan (near Hiroshima), directly came to here N.C. not via New York, or any other US city over 35 years ago. His Sushi bar and all Japanese cuisine is REAL, of course, my family enjoy America-Japanese Tettpan (Steel) grill stake house menu as well, because all food materials are EXCELLENT quality so as all kinds of tasty souses.

YUMMY!!!

This my favorite Japanese Restaurant in the area. I love the noodles with the sauce and the sushi is the very best around!

Best Sushi in Greensboro

I found Asahi because I was looking for the best sushi in the city, and this came highly recommended. We visited the restaurant on New Year's Eve, expecting long waits and huge crowds. Although it was incredibly busy, they kept business moving easily, and we were quickly seated and graciously served. Asahi is where you want to go if you are tired of the typical Japanese Steakhouse approach to Hibachi entertainment, and want to get into the art of epicurean delights in sampling Japanese-style dishes. In the Hibachi room, you are treated to excellent chefs, but in the sushi bar (also a seperate room, with a bar and booths), you may choose from hot and cold traditional Japanese dishes as well as an exceptional variety of creatively designed sushi options. Whether your desire is for something new or something tried and true, they have an answer to your cravings. Be sure to check out the spicy crab roll while you're there, which was served so incredibly fresh that the warm rice complimented the cool spiced crab salad marvelously.
