Village Tavern's food is always fresh, always made from scratch (all of it), and always yummy. We especially appreciate their late hours, since we're often working odd hours and can still "come home" to great food. The crab cakes are particularly amazing, but really, I haven't had anything bad here. The black beans and asparagus are exceptional, so I always substitute those for my regular side items. The service is outstanding, some of the best in the area, which says a lot in the land of southern hospitality. I guess by now I'm a regular there... but not for any reason other than quality, quality, quality.
